The 5 CLC AI Levers

How to get accurate, client-safe work out of any AI, the first time.
The bot is only as good as how you brief it. Pull these five and the work comes back clean and ready. Skip them and you spend your morning cleaning up after it. These are the house rules for Viktor and any AI tool we use.
1
Brief it like a contractor, not a coworker
Goal, limits, format, and what "done" looks like, all up front. "Give me leads" is a wish. "10 US DTC brands, $50K+/mo, on Shopify, founder findable on LinkedIn, in a table" is a brief. Every vague ask costs you a rewrite.
2
Point it at the truth, and name the order
Tell it where facts come from and in what order to check them. For people: LinkedIn company page first, find the founder there, confirm it is current, then the website. A site proves a brand exists, never who runs it. The bot believes whatever you point it at first, so point it right.
3
Check before it ships, never audit after
Nothing client-facing goes out until the bot shows its sources and a human actually looks. "Approve" has to mean you read the proof, not that it looked fine. The check is the brake. Pull it before anything reaches a real person, not after.
4
Reset, do not wrestle
When it goes sideways, stop replying into that thread, it just digs the hole deeper while the bot scrambles to please you. Start a new thread, state the ask cleanly, and let the messy one go. A fresh start with a clear prompt beats ten angry corrections.
5
Your tone is part of the prompt
Calm and specific gets precision. Rushed and angry makes it scramble and repeat its own mistakes, these tools are built to apologize and redo, which makes it worse. When it is not doing what you asked, check your prompt first. That is the part you control.
You do not have to remember all this. Viktor does.
He is set up to find the right person on LinkedIn first and show his sources before anything sends, every time. Your one job is to confirm he actually did it before it goes out. That is what the checklist is for.
Your job, before anything sends
Don't redo his work, just confirm it.
Did it show me its sources?
Did I actually open one?
Is the person real, and still in the role?
Would I bet $100 this is right before it sends?
Starting something from scratch?
Optional. Viktor knows this already, but here is the shape of a good ask.
I need [what] for [who / why]. Must be: [the hard rules]. Get facts from [source] first, in this order: [order]. Show me your sources before anything sends. If you cannot verify it, say "unknown". Do not guess.
